Freedom Care for Employers with 2–50 Employees

How many renewal increases can you withstand?

You change carriers. Raise deductibles. Shift more cost to employees. Then the next renewal arrives and you are right back where you started.

Freedom Care is not health insurance. See important information below.

Is there a point where you ask
“Is this worth it?”

Small employers should not have to choose between taking care of their people and protecting the financial health of the business that provides their jobs, wages and benefits.

Why you offer benefits

You offer benefits because you want to.

You want to attract good people, keep good people and help employees and their families when they need care. That has not changed. What can change is the way you fund and deliver those benefits.

Benefits still matter. But there has to be a better way to offer them.
Freedom Care

What Is Freedom Care?

A health care navigation, guidance, and care-funding model.

A better experience — with greater freedom and control along the way.

01Understand care.
02Choose care.
03Access care.
04Pay for care.
Why Freedom Care Is Different

Freedom Care is not health insurance. That is intentional.

If Freedom Care were built the same way, we would inherit many of those same limitations.

We pursue many of the goals people expect from health insurance. We simply do it differently.

Traditional health insurance has you asking:
“What’s covered?”
Freedom Care starts by asking:
“How can we help you care for your health?”
Up to35%savings

A simpler way to rethink the cost of benefits.
Freedom Care can be structured to create savings of up to 35% compared with traditional benefit options an employer may have been offered. Actual savings vary by employer, workforce, geography, selected benefit configuration and current costs.

Build the benefit your way

Three ways to use Freedom Care.

Start with Freedom Care as the foundation. Then decide whether your business wants to add traditional benefit layers or the Tax-Smart Health Program.

1

Freedom Care Standalone

A complete Freedom Care member experience as your primary benefit offering.

  • Health care navigation and guidance
  • Everyday care funding
  • Freedom and choice in accessing medical care
  • Clear member responsibility and support for larger medical expenses
  • My Healthology education and resources
Simple. Different. Built to stand on its own.
2

Freedom Care + MEC + HRA

Pair Freedom Care with selected traditional benefit components for employers that want a more familiar layer alongside the Freedom Care model.

  • Everything included with Freedom Care
  • Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC)
  • Employer-funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), when appropriate
  • Additional traditional benefit features based on the selected arrangement
Freedom Care with added traditional benefits.

MEC, HRA and Tax-Smart Health Program arrangements are subject to applicable eligibility, plan-design, tax, ERISA and other legal requirements. Savings and funding results are not guaranteed and depend on the employer's facts and the final structure. Employers should review the arrangement with qualified legal, tax, benefits and insurance advisors before implementation.

A different starting point

Stop beginning with the renewal.

Begin with what you can sustainably invest in your people. Then build the benefit around that commitment instead of letting the carrier renewal make the decision for you.
